Peace Lily

One of our friends gave us a flower pot the other day as a house warming gift. When I saw it, I thought I know that flower from somewhere... perhaps "Skunk Cabbage"? But they grow in water and I hope our friend wouldn't give us a stinky Sunk Cabbage as a  gift? Must be a different flower...

"Peace Lily" is the name. They are easy to care for, no need to water too much and it will grow in shade. I like it! It also cleans indoor air! Smart plant!

When I was searching Peace Lily, I learned that it is a birthday flower for Dec. 23rd. That was a Japanese web site. I searched the same thing in English, and I found this page about Birthday Flowers.
